Brent has appeared in courts throughout Texas. He primarily practices tort and products liability defense litigation, as well as commercial, business, transactional matters and appellate law. A former Army officer, Brent graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1998, and the University of Texas in 1989. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas, where he has tried numerous cases to verdict.

On a personal level, Brent is heavily involved in school activities and local politics. Among several endeavors, he serves as a neighborhood precinct chairman in Kingwood, Texas, where he lives with his four children: Travis, Lauren, Catherine and Jenna.
